Define the required end condition
A move can mean simple physical relocation, restoration to the previous condition or a combined relocation and upgrade. Agree the required performance, documentation and acceptance boundary before dismantling begins.
Capture the existing condition
Create a controlled record of assemblies, orientation, cable identification, alignment references and visible defects. Match marking must remain understandable after packing and transport.

- Cable, hose and interface schedules
- Lift points, centre of gravity and handling limits
Prove the destination is ready
Check floor, access, utilities, foundations, clearance and maintenance space against the equipment that will actually arrive. A relocation schedule fails quickly when destination assumptions are left until unloading.
Plan reassembly and restart together
The dismantling order should support the future rebuild. Define alignment checks, reconnection verification, outstanding-change control and the commissioning sequence before the move.
